The list box labeled Files of type: may have its arrow button clicked to select another filter (e.g., to view all the .csv files instead). A
selected .csv file is best viewed by a spreadsheet application directly using the Open item on the right-click context menu instead of
clicking the Open button or double-clicking its file name. Any AutoLog Test Data (.atd) file selected for viewing will be displayed on
the Run window according to the currently selected display mode (Table, Plot, or Both). Use the Playback application, described in
Chapter 6, to plot any .csv files directly.

To view the original text report when currently displaying an AutoLog plot, click the plot surface to bring up the Display Option
window. Then, click the View Report button on the right side of the option window to view the plot’s source text report.

The most recent ‘raw’ extraction file (normally hidden) cannot be viewed in Data Scout Advanced by clicking the Open button.
However, it is in a text format, and can be viewed by choosing its special “filter”, labeled All Raw Data files (.raw), in the Files of type:
pull-down list at the bottom of the Open File dialog window. Then, highlight its file name (XRTD.raw) and right-click the mouse.
This reveals a standard Windows

®

context menu that has file-related choices (e.g., Open With and Send To) that permit the user to

view it with any suitable text editor. Viewing this ‘raw’ file is only useful, for diagnostic purposes, if its extraction process failed or was
aborted before completion. Technical support may ask you to do this if they need to analyze error and status messages in this file.
Only the last such file is retained.

4.2.5.3 OTHER (NON-TEST) AUTOLOG OPTIONS

There is still one more button, the Other button, on the AutoLog frame of controls (figure 4.34). It has a corresponding function on
the Run window’s Configure menu as well. Clicking it will cause the following configuration of the AutoLog window open (figure
4.35).
