Notice that this window has two similar but not identical frames of controls: the Original data file frame and the New (Converted) data
file frame. And, like all the other convert functions, this function uses last file selected of DSPlay as default “root” file names for filling
its two file name text boxes.

The Original file selected (by default, by double-clicking the text box, or by using the Browse button in that frame) may have the .txt or
.atd or .csv file extension. The default New file name has the same “root” name, path, and extension, as no change of format is to be
performed here. In order to make the New file name unique (since it must be non-existent), a “file version number” in parentheses,
between the “root” file name and its extension, is added by default (shown as “(1)” in the example above, which is the case when there
are no previous versions). Two check-box options also appear in the second frame to let the user select what final pressure units
and/or temperature units into which the data are converted to in the New file.

The pressure conversion can be done at a specified “precision” (1 to 9 digits after the decimal points). The default shown (-1) means
use the best precision, which for the Single (32-bit) internal IEEE floating point numbers used is always 6 or 7 “significant” digits. For
AutoLog data files, with only one transducer, there is no other choice to make. If “user units” is selected, the slope and offset will be
applied to psi units.

For a Record data file, the window also allows the user to choose which transducers are to have their data converted. A text box is
added to each sub-frame that lets you select only the desired transducers for pressure and/or temperature conversion. The default for
both text boxes is All transducers, but if you examine the ToolTip of each text box, it indicates the available transducer number choices
(determined by a pre-scan of the file), and any or all of these transducer numbers may be entered into each text box. Separate each
transducer number entered with a single space.

When the Convert button is pressed, the data conversion is performed as specified. The contents of the converted New file mirrors the
format of the Original file, except for the actual data changed in the affected data columns. If the file contains more than temperature
and pressure columns (e.g., Voltage, Raw Counts, etc.), then these other data columns are not affected. If the file contains more than
one temperature column, both columns are converted to the same units if temperature conversion is optioned.

After the Convert button is selected, a status box appears (below the buttons) to indicate the progress of the conversion or to show any
problems found with the input file and output file. Except for very large text files, with many samples, conversion is nearly
instantaneous. A bright green status field background appears for a successful conversion. A pale yellow background usually indicates
errors have occurred, as indicated by the message. A bright orange status field indicates conversion in progress.

If conversion is successful, clicking the View/Edit button in the New frame opens this newly created file for viewing and/or editing
using the text editor assigned to DSPlay. If you click Exit, the Convert window closes and the new file becomes the new last file selected
of DSPlay, and is immediately displayed (e.g., replotted). Use the File | Open menu of DSPlay to delete it or rename it as required.

6.2.3 COMPENSATE SELECTED ABSOLUTE PRESSURES PER BAROMETER

The third Convert menu selection (Convert | ompensate Data Per Barometer) causes the following new Convert window to open:
