10.3 iRIS Executive Firmware Upgrade Procedure
The “Executive” in the iRIS is analogous to the operating system in a PC. It is the Executive Firmware that
contains all the low level functions and library routines used by the Application Software.
1. Connect to the iRIS using iLink.
2. Go to the Program Device screen via the [Tools][Program Device] menu option.
3. Stop the programs by clicking the [Stop Programs] button in the ‘Controls’ panel.
When the program has stopped, the Program Status panel should look like this.
