Instrument Net sensors
General
Up to four Instrument Net sensors may be connected to the panel mount version of a Chatter™ Data Logger.
Connect the power supply leads - the red
and brown wires - from all four sensors to
the terminals in this way:
Red wire - positive supply lead - to the
terminal marked +5 / 10 / 15V
Brown wire - negative supply lead - to
one of the terminal marked GND
Connect the signal leads - the grey and
yellow wires - from all four sensors to the
terminals in this way:
Gray wire - signal lead A - to the
terminal marked RS485 - A
Yellow wire - signal lead B - to the
terminal marked RS485 - B
If you are using a level transmitter for
relative measurements, you must take
care not to damage the pressure relief
tube inside the cable.
Take great care NOT to short-circuit the terminal 3V6-A to GND if you use it as a power source for
the digital inputs. It will cause irreparable damage to the Chatter™ Data Logger
