11.3 Remote functions
The remote access menu offers a wide range of applications through the 
telephone line. These are described in more detail on the following pages. 
11.3.1 Remote Access
Remote access can be started in two ways.
11.3.1.1 Remote access through dial-up 
Using this function, you can access and configure the GSM dialer remotely. 
The device can be operated either over an individual line or by sharing the line 
with other devices. 
 
Dial-up with “1 Ring Answer ON” function 
3. Dial into the GSM dialer by entering the telephone number of the
device.
The device accepts the call after the defined number of rings (see 
“Answer After”). 
4. Enter your four-digit remote code. A confirmation signal sounds when
the code is accepted. The remote access menu is now displayed. The 
available functions are detailed on the following pages. 
 
Dial-up with “1 Ring Answer OFF” function 
5. Dial into the GSM dialer by entering the telephone number of the
device.
6. Let the device ring two or three times, then end the call. 
7. Wait about 10 seconds, then dial into the GSM dialer again. The 
device now accepts the call immediately and a selection of high-
pitched signal tones can be heard. 
8. Enter your four-digit remote code. A confirmation signal sounds when
the code is accepted. The remote access menu is now displayed. The 
available functions are detailed on the following pages. 
11.3.1.2 Remote access over an alarm message 
The GSM dialer starts a dialling procedure when the input is triggered. In this 
case, the called contact can start the remote access mode after message 
confirmation is made.
