If you choose SINGLE you will see the following screen and you will be
allowed to choose the type of game you want to play. If you choose
CONTEST you will be taken straight into the WORD GAME and the
following screen will not appear.

In SINGLE mode chose the type of game you wish to play by using the
Up/Down arrow keys ( ) and press ENT/=(icon) key to start the
game.
NOTE: If you decide at this point that you do not want to play in SINGLE
mode and that you would rather play a CONTEST you can press
the BACK ! key to return to the previous menu and then
choose the CONTEST game.
