Possibility 2: on the device

Note the current position of the rotary encoder switch (baud rate and address).

Apply the following special settings to the rotary encoder switch:

• left rotary encoder switch (baud rate)

7 without diagnosis byte via Bus

6 with Diagnosis byte

• middle rotary encoder switch (Address x10) 0

• right rotary encoder switch (Address x1)

0

Do a hub current reset.

Now the actual module list will be projected into the desired module list in EEPROM.

Blinking code 1-1 will appear immediately if this procedure has been concluded without any errors.

Otherwise error 1-2 (Error Type 1, Error Number 2) will appear. (See the Blinking Code Table in the chapter
Assembly and Function of the Module / Field Bus Module DeviceNet)

If the desired module list has been successfully entered, reset the rotary encoder switch to its initial
position.

Once again, do a hub current reset.

The baud rate and Address settings are re-entered. This allows the DeviceNet module to once again commu-
nicate using bus.

When you look at the parameters for Type 8645 once again, changes are noticeable.

1. The same value is entered for the parameters Configured Module 1 to Configured Module 6 (desired
module list), which are the same values as Actual Module 1 to Actual Module 6 (actual module list).

2. The number of necessary bytes is entered for the parameters Produce Size Poll and Consume Size Poll.
In this case, 16 (or 17 with diagnosis byte via bus (Produce Size Poll) and 15 Output-Bytes (Consume Size
Poll).

Take note of the values Produce Size Poll (Input Size) und Consume Size Poll (Output Size) or write
down the values. These will be necessary at a later time!
