Program user-specific digestions by entering the digestion term,
temperature, digestion time and position

VAR

Vary user-specific digestions by changing the digestion term,
temperature, digestion time or position (= adjustment of the user-specific
programmed parameters in the main menu)

CPRG

Delete user-specific digestions.
Press key 4 to return to the main menu.

Start digestion

Prepare the cuvettes as described in the working procedure.

D A N G E R

Potential danger with contact with chemical/biological substances.
Working with chemical samples, standards and reagents can be dangerous.
Make yourself familiar with the necessary safety procedures and the correct
handling of the chemicals before the work and read and follow all relevant safety
data sheets.
The sample cuvettes and sample reaction tubes are prepared in accordance with
the currently valid working procedure.
On the instrument, select the temperature program specified in the currently valid
working procedure.
Higher temperatures than those specified in the working procedure can cause the
cuvettes or reaction tubes to shatter or become damaged in the thermostat block.
If this happens, contact Technical Customer Service.

C A U T I O N

Burn hazard
Do not put a finger in an opening in the heating block.
Close the protective cover before increasing the temperature of the heating block,
and always keep the protective cover closed during operation.
Burn hazard. The sample cuvettes are hot. Wear thermal insulating material (e.g.
gloves or finger cots). Do not remove sample cuvettes if their temperature is
above 100 °C.
Chemical hazards. If a reaction tube/cuvette breaks, do not let the liquid touch
skin. If necessary, use a flue to convey chemical vapors.

WA R N I N G

The final cleaning of the thermostat should only be carried out by Technical
Customer Service.

N O T I C E

To prevent reaction tube/cuvette and instrument damage, keep the openings in
the heating block dry. Dry the outside of the reaction tubes/cuvettes fully.
To prevent damage to the instrument:
If glass breaks or fluid leaks out during digestion:

Press the key under Esc to abort the digestion. Let the instrument cool.

Turn the instrument off and disconnect the power cord.

If glass breaks or fluid leaks out when loading the thermostat:

Turn the instrument off and disconnect the power cord.

Remove the liquid with a pipette. Do not let the liquid touch skin.

Dispose of the liquid in accordance with regulations.

.

Do not cover the ventilation slits in the protective cover. The instrument and
reaction tubes/cuvettes may become too hot and decrease the accuracy of the
measurement.
