The FB-DIMMs generate heat during continued operation. The ASUS patent
MemCool FB-DIMM fan is to ensure optimum thermal condition and perfor-
mance.
2.10.4 MemCool FB-DIMM fan kit
To remove the MemCool FB-DIMM fan kit:
1. Unplug the fan cable from the
FBD_FAN1 connector on the
motherboard.
2. Grip the top cover clamps until
the top cover hooks are released,
then carefully lift the top cover
while supporting the fan base with
your free hand.
