5.7 Changing the brush roller
The brush roller can be removed in just
a few steps:
1. Switch the Minuteman Phenom off
and disconnect the power plug.
2. Remove the brush head (Fig. 10/6).
3. Remove the base plate (Fig. 10/2)
by removing the 4 slotted-head
screws
with a screwdriver.
4. Raise the bearing (Fig. 10/4) and
brush roller (Fig. 10/5)) far enough
so that both parts can be removed
from the housing (Fig. 10/7).
5. Pull the brush roller (Fig. 10/5) from
the brush shaft (Fig. 10/3).
6. Slide the new brush roller
(Fig. 10/5) on the brush shaft
(Fig. 10/3). Pay attention that the
brush roller
(Fig. 10/5) is installed the right way
round and the catch engages in the
brush.
7. Replace the bearing (Fig. 10/4) and
press back in the housing
(Fig. 10/7).
8. Screw the base plate (Fig. 10/2)
back on.

Finally, open the small flap
(Fig. 11/1) at the back of the
brush head (Fig. 10/6) and re-
move any accumulated dirt, if
necessary.
