oF (vibration disabled) or On (vibration

enabled) flashing together with the

icon.

2) Press the

+ or – button until you have made your selection

3) Press the

will go back to standby mode storing the new value set.

When vibration alert is enabled the display shows it by this

icon.

Moreover, whenever you switch on your transceiver it will vibrate

briefly to remind you.

Vibrating alert used frequently increases battery consumption.

channels of your choice by scanning them rapidly. To set dual watch

finished transmitting to give you the chance to hear in the event of a

reply from the other party before restarting dual watch automatically.

To disable dual watch press the

SCAN/MON button. The icon

will disappear from the display and the transceiver will go back in

standby mode on the channel which had been selected at step 1.

6.6 Transmission lock when channel is busy

Before transmitting (by pressing the

PTT or CALL/LOCK button) it

is advisable to make sure the channel is not busy. If you attempt

to transmit on a busy channel you cannot be heard and you could

create radio interference.

MIDLAND G2 can be set to prevent you

transmitting on a busy channel by doing the following:

1) Press nine times the

MENU button. The display shows bLo (Busy

Lock Out) followed by

n (disabled) or Y (enabled) flashing.

2) Press buttons

+ or until you have selected the desired setting.

3) Press the

PTT button to exit, or wait for a few seconds. The device

goes in standby mode storing the new settings.

If the channel is busy, pressing

PTT or CALL/LOCK buttons when this

function is enabled will only produce an error beep. As soon as the

channel is free the

PTT and CALL/LOCK buttons are automatically

enabled for their normal functioning.

This function is particularly useful when

operated by an inexperienced user.
