SETTING THE CLOCK
In the clock mode, the timer displays as shown in Figure 1. Note that the colon is
flashing and the word CLOCK appears on the LCD. To set the current time and day,
press the SET key, the DAY is flashing and the LCD appears as shown in Figure 2.
Use the left/right arrow keys ( < > ) to select the current day, then press the SET key.
The HOUR is flashing, use the left/right arrow keys to select the current hour, then
press the SET key. Now the MINUTE is flashing, use the left/right arrow keys to select
the current minute, then press the SET key. The SECOND will flash. Press the right
arrow key ( > ) to set the time to the start of next minute, while press the (left arrow key
( < ) to set the time to the start of current minute.

For example, when the time displayed is 3:16:22 and the second is flashing. Press the
right arrow key will set the time to 3:17:00. Press the left arrow key to set the time to
3:16:00

To change from 12 to 24-Hour Display or vice versa, press the RND key in the Clock
setting mode.

During the setting procedure, If the left or right arrow key is depressed for longer than I
second, the key will repeat itself. Depressing the key for a further 2 seconds will
increase the rate of repeat.

After the correct time is entered, press the SET key to end the clock setting. The word
SET will be turned off and flashing will stop. The display now shows the current time
and day as in Figure 3.

REVIEW AND SETTING PROGRAMS
The unit can be set for daily or weekly event. You can choose the program to activate
on a particular day, Monday to Friday, Monday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, or


everyday. You can set a maximum of 14 programs. To review the various programs,
push either the left/right program arrow key. When the right arrow key is pressed, the
LCD display will scroll through all the programs in the following sequence.

CLOCK-> PGM 1 ON -> PGM 1 OFF -> PGM 2 ON -> PGM 2 OFF ->... PGM 14 ON->
PGM 14 OFF -> CD PGM-> CLOCK

Press the left arrow key will have the same effect except the sequence is reversed.
Push both keys at the same time will return to clock display.

The PROG symbol will display to denote the program is being displayed. CD PROG
will display to denote the Count Down Program is displayed. A sample of the program
is shown in Figure 4. Please note the display will show --:-- when the program is not
set.

All programs can be reviewed by simply holding down the left or right arrow keys: the
display will scroll through all the programs in sequence. Press the key one at a time to
view programs one by one.

EXAMPLE OF SETTING PROGRAM 1:
MO 8:15 ON / MO 15:45 OFF

In the above example, the timer will turn on at Monday 8:15 and off at 15:45. To set
the timer on at 8:15, press the right arrow key or left arrow key until PROG 1 ON
appears on the display, then press the SET key and the word SET will display.

With the Day flashing, use the left or right arrow key to select a day for which the
program 1 to be turned on and off. The day display will sequence through each day
and then MO – FR, MO – SA, SA – SU, MO – SU and then repeat again.

In this example, the day would be Monday. Press the SET key. When the hour is
flashing, adjust the HOUR to 8 using the left or right arrow key, then press the SET
key. When the Minute is flashing, adjust the MINUTE to 15 using the left right arrow
keys, then press the SET key to end the setting program. In Figure 4 the display
shows the timer before it’s being set and in Figure 5 the display shows the timer after
it’s been set.

To set the timer off at 15:45, follow the same steps as setting the ON program.

Note; the HOUR and MINUTE can be set for the program time but not the SECOND.

RANDOM FUNCTION
This timer has a built-in random function to automatically turn the time on and off at
random intervals. The timer will stay on for approximately 10 to 26 minutes and off 26
to 42 minutes. By pressing the RANDOM key, the symbol RND will flash indicating that
it is active. When the random function is active, all the preset programs including the
Count Down Programs are disabled and remain disabled until the random generator is
turned off by pressing the RANDOM key again. Manual Override is also disabled.

MANUAL ON/OFF
This timer can be turned on or off anytime (except when Random/function is active) by
using the ON/OFF key. Press the ON/OFF key to turn the time on. Press the ON/OFF
key again to turn the timer off. The LED indicates the timer is on or off. The flashing
word ON or OFF indicates that manual on/off mode is active.
The manual override mode will be cancelled when a preset program or countdown
program is activated. The ON/OFF word on the clock display will then stop flashing.
