Using the appliance
General
Withthisappliance,youcanilterwaterand
dispenseitatroomtemperatureorheated
tospeciictemperatures.
Ifyouhavequestionsregardingtheilter

Note:Theapplianceischeckedbefore
delivery,whichmeanstheremaybesome
isolateddropsofwaterfound.Thesedrops
ofwaterareharmless,simplyremovewith
acloth.
Setting up the appliance
Beforeyouusetheappliancefortheirst
time,dothefollowing:
 ► Removeilm.
 ► Unrollorpushintherightamountof
cablefromthecablecompartmentand
plugthecableintoapoweroutlet.
 ► Removethewatertankandcleanit
thoroughlyunderrunningwater.
 ► Inserttheiltercartridgeasdescribedin
thesectiontitled“BRITAMAXTRAwater
iltersystem”.
 ► Fillthewatertankuptothe maxmark
withfresh,coldwater.Useonlynon-
carbonateddrinkingwater.
 ► Replacethewatertankandpushitirmly
downwardintoplace.
 ► Setthe on/offswitchtoon.Alldisplay
itemswilllightupbriely,andthenthe
90°Ciconstayslit.
 ► Placeaglassorcupholdingatleast
150mlonthecupstandunderthewater
outlet.
 ► Pressthe start/stopbuttontodispense
oneportionofwatertorinsethe
appliance.
Note:Beforeusingtheapplianceforthe
irsttimeorafteralongperiodofnon-use,
donotdrinktheirsttwoglassesofwater.
The machine is now ready to use.
Dispensing water
 ► Setthecupstandtotheappropriate
heightforthecuporglass.
 ► Placethecuporglassunderthewater
outlet.
 ► Pressthe temp. setbuttontoselectthe
desiredtemperature.
 ► Pressthe start/stopbutton.The
waterwilldispensefromtheoutlet.The
selectedtemperaturelasheswhilethe
waterisdispensed.
Height adjustment
Theadjustablecupstandletsyouadjust
thedistancebetweenyourcuporglassand
thewateroutlet.Thelowestsettingissuit-
ablefortallerglassesandcups.Forsmaller
cupsorsoupcupsyoucaninsertthecup
standintooneoftheupperopenings.
Important: Don´tusetheappliancewithout
thecupstand.
