11. (Continued) Install extended cab braces (EX version only)
Insert (2) 3/8”-16 x 2-1/2” hex head bolts through the brace and leg as shown. Secure the extended cab
brace with (2) 3/8” split lock washers and (2) 3/8”-16 nuts.
Position the brace top so it is tight against the lower rail and lightly tighten the hardware.
Move the brace so the upper mounting hole is centered on the lower rail.
Using the upper mounting hole as a guide, mark the center of the hole. Move the brace out of the way.
For best results, use a center punch before drilling. Drill a 3/8” hole through the lower rail.
Move the brace back over the hole and insert a 3/8”-16 x 2-1/2” hex head bolt top down through the
lower rail and extended cab brace. Secure the brace with a 3/8” split lock washer and 3/8”-16 nut.
Tighten all hardware.
Repeat for other side.
12. Check all rack hardware to make sure their tight.
