NTERFACE
The CATC BPT provides a simple and efficient user interface for running tests and viewing
test results. Figure 3-1 shows the BPT application window.
3.1 User Interface Overview
The BPT user interface contains the following elements:
• Title bar — The title bar is located at the top of the application window. It identifies the
window as CATC BPT and also shows the BD_ADDR of the BPT hardware.
• Select Devices area — The Select Devices area contains buttons to assist the operator in
specifying the devices to test.
• Test progress bar — The test progress bar provides information about test progress and
results.
• Status bar — The left side of the Status bar reports information about the tests that are
being run, including the BD_ADDR of the device being tested and the name of the test.
The right side of the Status bar indicates the current testing mode (Normal or Inquiry).
• Results area — The Results area is the main portion of the application window. Device
addresses, test names, and test states are displayed in this pane. Note that this informa-
tion is listed only if there are tests and devices defined in the file BPT.ini, or if devices
have been discovered via an inquiry.
