Trim the opposite side as shown to allow full clearance. Sand /de-burr all areas cut and apply paint/undercoating
Remove inner dust boot clamp from steering rack Remove outer dust boot clamp from tie rod and slide down
Loosen and remove inner tie rod at steering rack Note: Vehicles requiring rack adapters, use thread locker
Clean rack threads and install & torque steering rack adapter Note: Use thread locking compound on clevis mounting bolt
