Displaying TM buffer utilization

The show tm buffer-pool-stats slot command displays the maximum buffer utilization from the TM
and provides additional information for debugging purposes.

The following example displays maximum buffer utilization:

Brocade#show tm buffer-pool-stats slot

Specifies the queue priority.

Max Depth

Specifies the maximum queue depth of any queue with Qtype in bytes.

Destination Port

Specifies the destination port of queue that had highest max queue depth.

Max Util

Specifies the percentage of maximum queue utilization (max-queue-depth /
max-queue-size).

Field

Description

Maximum Buffer Size

Specifies the maximum buffer size in bytes for both gold and bronze traffic and
also shows percentage of buffer used out of maximum packet buffer.

Maximum Occupied Buffer
Descriptors

Specifies the maximum buffer pointers used for both gold and bronze traffic
and also shows percentage of buffer pointers used out of total buffer points.
