SOFT-OFF BY PWR-BTTN:

Pressing the power button for more than 4 seconds forces the system to enter the Soft-Off state when

the system has "hung". The choices are Delay 4 Sec and Instant-Off.

PWRON AFTER PWR-FAIL:

This item allows you to select if you want to power on the system after power failure. The choice: Off

and On

PNP/PCI Configuration Setup Screen

The PNP/PCI Configuration Setup describes how to configure PCI bus system. PCI, also known as

Personal Computer Interconnect, is a system, which allows I/O devices to operate at speeds

nearing the speed of the CPU itself uses when communicating with its own special components.

This section covers technical items, which is strongly recommended for experienced users only.

RESOURCE CONTROLLED BY:

The Award Plug and Play Bios can automatically configure all of the booth and Plug and Play-com-

patible devices. However, this capability means absolutely nothing unless you are using a Plug and

Play operating system such as Windows 95. By choosing "manual", you are allowed to config-

ure the IRQ Resources and DMA Resources.

The options for these items are found in its sub menu. By pressing the <ENTER> key, you are

prompt to enter the sub menu of the detailed options as shown on next page:
