Remove any toner or paper debris from interior of the machine, with a
soft, dry cloth that is clean and lint-free.

Insert the toner cartridge.

Close the toner cover, and then lower the upper unit.

Reconnect all cables, and then turn on the power.

Precautions when closing the upper
unit:
Be careful not to get your fi ngers caught.
Do not touch the fi xing unit (A).
Touching the fi xing unit (A) may cause
burns as it becomes very hot during use.
Precautions if you get toner on your
hands or clothing:
If toner comes in contact with your hands
or clothing, wash them immediately in
cold water. Do not use warm water, as it
will set the toner and make it diffi
cult to
remove the toner stains.
Cleaning the Fixing Unit
Clean the fi xing unit when black streaks appear on printed pages.

Press [ ] (Menu).

] to highlight <Adjustment/Maintenance>, and then press
[OK].

Press [

] or [
▼
] to highlight <Clean Fixing Unit>, and then press [OK].

Load A4 size plain paper in the paper cassette, and then press [OK].

The cleaning process begins. Cleaning takes approximately 90 seconds.

When the cleaning is complete, press [ ] (Menu) to close the screen.
