does Not Depend on Licensed Capacity.

The Partition Status list and the Setting box have the following features:

The Partition Status list displays the status of the partitioned licensed capacity of the program

product that is selected in the program product list for each SLPR. The Partition Status list consists

of the following items:
• SLPR Name - displays the name of SLPR.
• Used Volume - displays the currently used licensed capacity for the program product that is

selected in the program product list.

• Status - displays the status that is figured out by comparing the allocated licensed capacity

(Permitted Volumes) and used licensed capacity (Used Volumes). The following status can

be displayed:

Installed: When the program product with the unlimited licensed capacity is selected in the

list, this status indicates that the license is allocated to the SLPR. When the program product

that is not with the unlimited licensed capacity is selected in the list, this status indicates that

the partitioned licensed capacity is allocated to the SLPR and the allocated licensed capacity

is more than the capacity of Used Volumes. This status means that the storage partition

administrator can use the program product in the allocated SLPR.

Not Installed: No license and licensed capacity for the selected program product are

allocated to the SLPR.

Capacity Insufficient: The licensed capacity that is allocated to the SLPR (Permitted Volumes)

is less than the currently used licensed capacity (Used Volumes). When the trial period still

remains, the number of remaining days are displayed in parentheses.

Not Enough: The licensed capacity is insufficient though a program product is installed.

• Permitted Volumes - displays nothing when the program product with the unlimited licensed

capacity is selected in the list, or displays the allocated licensed capacity to the SLPR in GB

when the program product that is not with the unlimited licensed capacity is selected in the list.

The displayed items in the Setting box depend on the program product selected in the list.

When the program product with the unlimited licensed capacity or that does not depend on the

licensed capacity is selected in the list, the Enable button and the Disable button are displayed

(see

Figure 9

on page 26). To allocate the license of the selected program product to the SLPR,

select the Enable button. If you do not want to allocate the license of the selected program

product to the SLPR, select the Disable button. When the program product that is not with the

unlimited licensed capacity is selected in the list, the box to enter the capacity is displayed
