There are two options available for a file or volume copy (promote) restore:

Point-in-Time – restores or recovers a set of data or a particular setting from a time in the past
before data corruption occurred

Point-of-Failure – restores or recovers a set of data or a particular setting to a specific point
of failure by applying the transaction logs

Performing a File Copy Restore to a Point-in-Time

The file copy option is available only when the virtual copy is mounted on the production server.
The volume restore is available when the virtual copy is not mounted on any server.
1.

Locate the specific Virtual Copy timestamp in the left pane and right-click.

2.

Select Restore Using

→File Copy.

3.

Select Point in Time and click Next.
