Validating a Virtual Copy

You can validate a mounted virtual copy for a mailbox database/storage group with Exchange
APIs through HP 3PAR Recovery Manager. To validate a virtual copy, right-click the mounted virtual
copy you want to validate, and then select Validate.

NOTE:

For Exchange 2010/ Exchange 2013:

To validate only log file, select Validate Log Only option.

To validate log files and Database files, select Validate both Log and DB

NOTE:

You can execute concurrent virtual copy validation jobs through HP 3PAR Recovery

Manager GUI and multiple HP 3PAR Recovery Manager CLI instances.

Removing Virtual Copies

You can only remove virtual copies with status Available.

WARNING!

If you remove a virtual copy from the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System while HP

3PAR Recovery Manager is creating a backup, and you then delete this virtual copy from the HP
3PAR Recovery Manager repository before a restore operation has taken place, all data is lost
and you cannot recover the mailbox database/storage group.
