perform a normal Build/Apply of an RVU, SPR, or other software on any host or
target system on which DSM/SCM has been newly configured.
19. From the Build/Apply Request window:

Verify volumes. Move the ZDSMSCM subvolume to the $DSMSCM volume so
that the database is always accessible no matter which alternate system disk
you perform a system load from.

21. Click OK to verify OSS file management (if Manage OSS Files is checked).
22. If DSM/SCM is configured to send a snapshot to the host system automatically,

on page 5-37. If the snapshot is not
sent automatically:
a. Select Maintain>Target maintenance>Initialize target system.
b. From the Initialize Target System dialog box, click Snapshot.
23. Click Yes to mark the system as initialized. DSM/SCM displays the Initialized
Target dialog box.
24. Click OK. Initialization is complete.
25. Select File>Exit to exit the Planner Interface. Configuration of the system and its
logical target is complete.
