Creating Volume Settings, and related fields, is only displayed when
entered volume criteria require a new volume to be created. See Volume
Capacity field above for an example.
This field displays formatting methods available for the volume to be
created, as available for basic volumes on the specified storage system.
For example, you might see options for a quick or basic format.

This field displays stripe size options for the volume to be created, as
supported by the specified storage system. For example, 64KB.
Stripe Size
This field only displays for created users (non built-in accounts) allocating
volumes, who can potentially source the volume or volumes from multiple
resource groups the user has access rights to, as configured for their ac-
count.

Clicking LUN Path Options displays fields and buttons to set or change
the LUN paths connecting volumes and hosts. (See next 2
fields below)

Specify the number of LUN paths to allocate per host.
Changing the path count may cause the system to suggest a new path for
you automatically.
Click the Edit LUN Paths button to set or change LUN paths. The paths can
be displayed graphically or in a table format.

These related screens only display under LUN Path Options when Allocate
without LUN security is selected from the host drop-down. See Hosts field
above.
Unsecured ports are listed in LUN Security Disabled Storage Ports. You
select the port or ports to make the volume available on, and click Add to
move them to Selected Storage Ports. You can review your plan and submit
the allocation task. All hosts that can access the port or ports the volume
is on can access the volume.

Volume allocations using Fibre Channel will prompt for items such as host
group name, host mode, host mode options, and LU number.
The following fields can be displayed or hidden by clicking Host Group
and LUN Settings.

When volumes are allocated to multiple hosts simultaneously, this option
specifies configuring all hosts in a single host group. Shared by All

When volumes are allocated to multiple hosts simultaneously, this option
specifies configuring a separate host group for each host. Separate for

For hosts in a host group, host group information is displayed. For hosts
not in a host group, a host group can be created. Enter a name if a host
group is needed.

This button is used to display a list of host groups to be used during volume
allocation, or which were previously set during prior volume allocations. Host Group Set-

Select the host mode that supports the host type for which you are allocating
volumes.
