of the workload. This system option increases I/O performance.

Copy Pace: Maximizes host server I/O performance by suppressing copy
processing only if the pair status is “DUPLEX” (for BC Z, FC Z, or FCSE) or
“PAIR” (for BC or FS).

Processing-suppression/performance-improvement levels:

Default status: Disabled

Copy Pace Ext. Slower2

Default status: Disabled

Copy Pace Ext. None

Default status: Disabled

The I/O performance of the host server is improved most effectively with Copy
Pace Ext. None, followed by Copy Pace Ext. Slower2, and then Copy Pace Ext.
Slower1.
