before installing
Before installing the printer software on a networked computer, verify the following:

The printer is set up and powered on.
●
The ethernet hub or router is powered on and functioning properly.
●
All computers on the network are powered on and connected to the network.
●
The printer is connected to the ethernet network .
installation steps
Select the computer's operating system:
●
Mac OS X v10.1+
●
Mac OS 9.04+
Mac OS X v10.1+
Follow these steps to install the printer software on a networked computer:
1. Insert the printer software CD in the computer's CD-ROM drive.
The CD contents window appears.
2. Double-click the hp deskjet installer icon.
The hp deskjet installer window appears.
3. Select OS X installer , then click the Install button.
4. After the installation is complete, open Print Center.
