Improving scan/copy quality

Preventative steps
There are a few, simple steps you can take to improve scan quality:
● Load the paper or media correctly. If the paper is loaded
incorrectly, it may skew, causing unclear images and problems
with the OCR application. See “Loading Copier/Scanner
originals.”
● Adjust the software settings according to the end use of the
image you will receive from scanning or copying. See “Enhancing
the scanned image” and “Scanner resolution and gray scale.”
● Use quality originals.
