Click the Edit button.

Field

Specifies a numeric value for binding a specified port.

VASA service TCP port

Indicates that secure communications are implemented. For security purposes, this
option is fixed and cannot be modified.

Secure services

Specifies the debug level. There are three debug levels to choose from (low, medium,
high). Setting the level to high will log everything including communication request
and responses between SMS and VASA.

Debug level

The location of the log folder is fixed.

Log folder

Validates the port usage and SSL binding on the port.

Verify (button)

Saves the current configuration.

Save (button)

Closes the Edit dialog.

Close (button)

If the debug level is modified, changes will be updated to the VASA web service immediately.
If the port number is modified, user will be prompted with a confirmation to restart the VASA
web service.

Storage System Mapping

Storage System mapping allows user to map existing HP 3PAR Storage System credentials to be
used by VASA to gather storage information in response to a request from a vCenter. The Storage
System credentials have to be created via Storage System Credential or RMVMware.exe with
InServRegister option prior to the mapping. Since VASA uses the system ID obtained from the ESX
host information to determine which Storage System it is connected to, only one mapping is allowed
per HP 3PAR Storage System. The Storage System Mapping option is shown in

Figure 26 (page 43)
