Navigation Options
You can set the following personal preferences in Settings >> Navigation Options. If you make any changes, be sure to
choose Save.
• Route Style – Fastest, Shortest, Prefer Streets, Prefer Highway, Pedestrian, or Ask me each trip. Choose
the last option if you would like a prompt to choose a Route Style each time you start a navigation session.
• Avoid – HOV Lanes, Tolls, Traffic Delays.
• Moving Maps – 3D Maps or 2D Maps. Choose one as your default view for navigation sessions.
• Backlight – On, Off, or On at Turns. Choosing “On at Turns” will help you conserve your device’s battery
power.
• Speed Limit – On with Audio Alert, On without Audio Alert, or Off. The default is “On with Audio Alert.”
• Traffic Alerts – On or Off. If this feature is on, audio and visual traffic alerts will appear on the 2D or 3D
Moving Maps screen if there is a traffic incident on the route ahead.
Map Colors – Choose from Auto, Daytime, Nighttime. Nighttime colors have greater contrast to let you
better see the navigation screen in the dark. Choose “Auto” to have the navigation maps automatically
switch between Daytime and Nighttime colors.
Navigation Audio Options
You can set the following personal preferences in Settings >> Navigation Audio Options. If you make any changes, be
sure to choose Save.
• Settings – Full Audio, Instructions Only, or No Audio. “Full Audio” announces street names, and
“Instructions Only” announces the direction of the upcoming turn.
• Guide Tone – Sara or Maria. Sara is the default voice.
History
Show a list of addresses that you have driven to, saved as a favorite, or have searched. By highlighting an address and
choosing Options, you have the following options:
• Drive To – Get driving directions to the address.
• Map View – See a map of the area around the address.
• Share Address – Share the address with other users.
• Save – Save the address to your Favorites list.
• Delete – Delete the address from the History list.
• Delete All – Delete all the addresses in the History list.
You can choose “Sync with maps.telenav.com” to synchronize this list with addresses you saved on the pre-planning
website.
