Greeting message
This menu allows you to set a greeting to display briefly when the phone is switched on.
For details about entering characters, see “Entering Text” on page 33.
1. From Idle mode, press Menu
➔
Settings
➔
Personalize
➔
Greeting message and press .
2. Press to clear the text and enter the message you want to display in the greeting.
3. Press the Options soft key and select one of the following options:
• Save: allows you to save the currently entered greeting message.
• Select language: allows you to select Français or Español as the language with which to display your message.
• Edit style: allows you to configure the Font color, Font size, or Font type for this greeting message.
• Cancel: allows you to exit the menu and return to the Personalize options.
4. Press to confirm your selections.
Time and Date
This menu allows you to change the current time and date displayed.
1. From Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔ Time and date and press .
2. The following options are available:
• Time zone updating: allows you to receive time information from T-Mobile’s network.
– Automatic: the phone automatically updates the time and date according to the current time zone using the network service.
– Manual only: you need to manually set the time and date according to the current time zone using the Set time menu.
– Prompt first: the phone asks for a confirmation before the update.
• Time zone: displays a selectable list of 30 different time zones and allows you to select Daylight saving. Displays only if Manual
only or Prompt first is selected.
• Time: allows you to change the hour, minute and AM/PM.
• Date: allows you to enter the month, day, and year.
• Time format: allows you to select whether your time displays in either a 12 hour or 24 hour format.
