Playing Music Files

Music can either be played indirectly (without the use of the Media player or
playlists) by using the Fun & Apps > Files > Music feature (page 117) or directly by
selecting a desired playlist of songs which are then played through the media player.

1.

In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode.

2.

Using the Navigation keys, scroll to the Fun & Apps icon. Press the Select

soft key or the

key to enter the menu.

3.

Highlight the Music player option and press the Select soft key or the

key.

4.

Press the Options soft key and select the Open playlist option. The

current playlist information displays.

5.

Press the Left and Right Navigation keys to access the desired playlist.

6.

Press the Up or Down navigation keys to highlight the song to which you

want to listen, and press the

key to begin playing the selected song.

Note: The Navigation keys can be used to play, pause, stop, and select either the next or previous songs

from the current list.

7.

While listening to a music file, press the Options soft key for the following

options:

• Pause: allows you to pause the song you are listening to. Press the

to

resume the song.

• Open playlist: allows you to display either the current playlist or select from one

of the remaining three playlists (four total).

• Remove from playlist: allows you to remove the actively playing song from the

current playlist.

• Settings: allows you to configure the media player settings.
• Properties: displays the file properties such as: file name, creation date,

format, bitrate, length, file size, and lock/unlock state.

• Shortcuts: displays the current shortcut key functions related to the media

player application.
