Select the type of entry, either a New contact or Update to

update an existing contact.

On the Select Type screen, choose the type of phone

number being entered and press the Select soft key.

• Mobile - Private

• Mobile - Business

• Landline

• Landline - Business

• Fax

• Etc.

On the Add New Contact screen, enter the information

into each of the available fields:

• First Name: allows you enter a first name for this entry.

• Last Name: allows you enter a Last name for this entry.

• Display Name: allows you enter a display name for this entry. This

entry displays when you receive a call from this contact.

• Phone Number: allows you keep or alter the currently entered

phone number.

• Landline/Mobile-Private: allows you to enter an additional

private landline or mobile number to this entry.

• Email - Private: allows you to enter a contact Email address for

this entry.

• Group: allows you to assign this contact to group. Press the

key to display available groups. Use the Up or Down Navigation
keys to select a group. Press the Select soft key or the

key to

save your selection.

• Caller ID: allows you to set a graphic to the Caller ID for this

contact. Press the

key to access the Picture menu.

• Ringtone: allows you to choose a ringtone for this contact

information. Press the

key to access the Tones menu.

• Instant Messaging: allows you to assign an Instant Message

profile to this entry. Press the

key to access the IM menu.

• Note: allows you enter notes associated with this contact.

5.

Press the Options soft key and select Save or press the

key.

Storing a Number on the SIM Card

Note: When storing an Address Book entry into the SIM card, note that only

the Name, Phone Number, Group, and Slot location initially display. To
save additional information for a particular contact, such as other
phone numbers, or e-mail, it is important to add new fields to that
Contact information. If you move the SIM card to another phone that
does not support additional fields on the SIM card, this additional
information may not be available.
