Making and Answering Calls

Making Calls

Placing a call from your wireless phone is as easy as
making a call from any landline phone. Enter the
number, press

, and you’re on your way to clear

calls.

1.

Make sure your phone is on.

2.

Enter a phone number from standby mode. (If you
make a mistake while dialing, press

to erase

the numbers.)

3.

Press

. (To make a call when you are roaming

and Call Guard is enabled, press

and then

press

. See “Using Call Guard” on page 58.)

4.

Press

or close the phone when you are

finished.

You can also place calls from your phone by using
Speed dialing numbers from your Contacts (page 28),
using Voice Dial (page 80), and using your Call History
listings (page 61).

Dialing Options

When you enter numbers in standby mode, you will
see a variety of dialing options displayed as softkeys on
the phone’s screen.

To send a message to the number, press

Send Msg

(left softkey).

– or –

To initiate a dialing option, press

Options

(right softkey)

and choose one of the following options.

Speed Dial:

Enter a two digit number (2–99) to display

the entry contained in the speed dial location you
entered (if applicable). Press

to dial the speed

dial number. (See “Assigning Speed Dial Numbers”
on page 68.)

Tip

To redial your last outgoing call, press

twice.

When making calls off the Sprint National Network,
always dial using 11 digits (1 + area code + phone
number).
