7. Seat the FAN8 into the shelf by pressing firmly on each side of the assembly at the lock-latch position (do not
use the lock-latch to seat the card). Close the lock-latches on each side of the faceplate.

1.8 Install the ATI 9700 Chassis into the Rack
1.8.1 Ensure all components for desired configuration are present
Referring back to Table 1-1 as a guide, ensure that all components used for the installation are present:
1. Enter into your office records the serial number of the chassis, which will be a S/N label on the rear of the
chassis. (This may be needed if the ATI 9700 requires troubleshooting.)
