Installing the Swtich on a Desktop
The AT-GS908 can be used on a desktop or installed in a 19-inch rack. To
install the switch in a rack, refer to Installing the Switch in a Rack on
page 20. To use the switch on a desktop, perform the following
procedure:
1. Remove all equipment from the package and store the packaging
material in a safe place.
2. Attach the four rubber feet to the bottom of the switch as shown in
Figure 5 Attaching the Rubber Feet
3. Place the switch on a flat, secure surface (such as a desk or table)
leaving ample space around the unit for ventilation.
4. Apply AC power to the switch by plugging the power cord into the AC
power connector on the back panel of the unit and plugging the
other end into a wall outlet.

Warning
The power cord is used as a disconnection device. To de-energize
equipment, disconnect the power cord.
