PerTronix© thanks you for choosing JBA Performance Exhaust, the best fitting, highest quality header’s and exhaust on the market. In
order to realize the full potential of our good fit, please read and understand these instructions completely prior to starting work.

Check to make sure you received the proper parts for your application. Check the parts received against the parts list above. If you are
unsure you have received the proper parts call before you start work.

Be sure to work safe! Whenever you work under the vehicle be sure that it is located on level, solid ground and is supported by adequate
safety stands! Remember: Hot asphalt will not support most jack stands!

Many factors affect the installation of exhaust, some of which are broken or aftermarket motor mounts, accidents that impact the configu-
ration of the frame, and/or the installation of different engines, headers, spare tire sizes, lift and lowering kits, and trailer hitches.

Allow the vehicle to fully cool before attempting installation, hot exhaust can and will burn you !

Removal;
1. Remove the stock exhaust. In many cases you will need to cut the stock exhaust pipe behind the muffler before it goes over the axle.

2. Disconnect the stock hangers from the Rubber insulators. The rubber insulators will be reused, leave them hanging on the truck. Remove
the tail pipe.

3. Unbolt the muffler inlet from the catalytic converter, disconnect the hangers from the rubber insulators and remove the muffler.

Installation;
1. There are two different Intermediate pipes, depending on the configuration of your truck, one has a ball socket and the other has a two
bolt flange. Pick the correct one for your truck and discard the other.

2. Insert the 3 hangers on the JBA muffler into the stock rubber insulators, WD40 may make it easier to slip the hanger into the insulator.
When all three hangers are installed, this will locate the muffler.

3. Hold the proper intermediate pipe up to the catalytic converter flange. Depending on the configuration of your truck (Std Cab, Extra
Cab, Crew Cab, etc) you May have to cut the intermediate pipe. Make a mark on the intermediate pipe where it meets the inlet pipe of the
muffler. Make a second mark 2” longer (towards the muffler), cut the pipe at this mark. Slide one of the exhaust clamps over the inlet pipe
of the muffler and instal the intermediate pipe into the muffler inlet and bolt it to the catalytic converter flange. Check that everything is in
line and tighten the clamp.

4. Install the U Clamp with hanger on the intermediate pipe so that it slips into the rubber insulator and tighten the clamp.

5. Slip an exhaust clamp over each to the exhaust outlets and insert the left and right over axle pipes - Do not tighten.

6. Slip an exhaust clamp over the left and right tail pipes and slid them onto the over axle pipes - Do not tighten.

7. Slip the right side (Passenger) tail pipe hanger into the stock rubber insulator.

8. On the left side (Driver) side you will find a hole in the frame above the location of the hanger on the tail pipe. Bolt the JBA ‘L’ shaped
hanger through this hole using one nut and one flat washer on each side of the frame. Depending on your truck you May have to enlarge the
hole in the frame for the threads to go through. Slip the JBA Rubber insulator over the ‘L’ hanger and the hanger on the tail pipe.

9. Slip an exhaust clamp over each Chrome JBA Tip and slip them onto the tail pipes.

10. Adjust the Tail Pipes, Over Axle pipes and Chrome Tips so that they are even and tighten the clamps. The left (Driver) side ‘L’ hanger
is adjustable for height to match the Right (Pass) side. The Tips can be moved in or out to accommodate different bumpers, roll pans and
personal taste.
