10. Install the front wheels and torque the lug nuts to factory specification.
11. Install the connector pipes into the Catalytic Converters.
12. Attach the connector pipes to the headers utilizing the metal doughnut gaskets and
fasteners supplied with the headers.
13. Adjust for best alignment of both joints and tighten evenly.
14. Weld the connector pipes to the front of the Catalytic Converters.
15. If you do not have a welder available, complete the installation without welding. (When
installation is complete, drive the vehicle to a muffler shop to complete the operation).
16. Apply anti-seize to all the O
2
sensors and install in their appropriate locations.
17. Plug the wires into the O
2
sensors making sure that they are routed away from hot pipes.
(We recommend that O
2
sensors be removed before any welding operation is done on the
exhaust system.)
18. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
19. Connect the battery cable.
START THE ENGINE
Start the engine and allow it to warm up to operating temperature. Check for any unusual noises or exhaust leaks. If
every thing is OK, stop the engine and tighten all bolts while the engine is still warm.
NOTE: Check the bolts periodically to make sure they have not loosened. Re-tighten after the first 500 miles and then
again at 1000 miles.
IMPORTANT CHECK LIST
Be sure that all brake lines and fuel lines are clear of headers and/or connector pipes.
All spark plug wires, battery cables, or other electrical components should be clear of headers and/or
connector pipes.
If dipstick tube was removed, make sure it is installed properly and that the dipstick was replaced.
Double-check the tightness of all bolts including brackets and accessories.
