11. Tighten the 2 bolts on the passenger side AIR injection tube.
12. Tighten the AIR injection tube and EGR fittings on the driver side header
13. Slip the two halves of the crossover pipe together utilizing the supplied clamp, but do
not tighten the clamp at this time.
14. Install engine oil dipstick tube and dipstick.
15. Install the crossover by sliding it into the front of the primary muffler and attach it to the
headers utilizing the metal conical gaskets and the 3/8” x 2 ¼” hex bolts, nuts and lock
washers supplied. Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
16. Tighten all the header bolts evenly to a final torque of approximately 35 ft. lbs.

Adjust the “Y” pipe for best fit and tighten all the joints evenly.
18. Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads of the oxygen sensor. Be careful not
to get any anti-seize onto the element of the sensor.
19. Install and tighten the oxygen sensor and connect the wires.
20. Secure the oxygen sensor wire away from exhaust pipes or any linkage that may
entangle the wire.
21. Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads of the spark plugs and install them.
22. Attach the appropriate wire to the appropriate spark plug and make sure that the wires
are routed away from the header tubes or other heat sources.
23. Install both inner fender panels.
24. Install the front wheels and torque the lugs to factory specifications.
25. Connect the negative battery cable.
26. Check over the installation to make sure that all wires, lines, hoses, etc are connected
and have adequate clearance to protect them from the heat generated by the headers
and exhaust piping.
START THE ENGINE
Start the engine and allow it to warm up to operating temperature. Check for any unusual
noises or exhaust leaks. If every thing is OK, stop the engine and tighten all bolts while the
engine is still warm.
NOTE: Check the bolts periodically to make sure they have not loosened.
