7 Perform a fi nal check.
• Does the zoom ring rotate smoothly and does it adjust zoom? If not, reposition the zoom
gear sleeve.
• Is the inner-refl ection prevention ring attached?
Are the O-ring seal and watertight channel free of
liquid, hair, dust, sand, and other foreign objects? Is the desiccant correctly placed?
• Is the camera in the
correct orientation?
• Has the camera strap
been removed?
If you are using an underwater fl ash unit, check
that the built-in fl ash is raised; otherwise, be
sure the fl ash is lowered. • Is the O-ring cracked or damaged?
• Is the O-ring twisted or out of position?
• Is the O-ring free of hair, dust, sand,
and other foreign objects?
8 Close the case.
Close and latch the case.
