Manual Focus
To focus manually, rotate the focus
ring until the subject is in focus (the
faster the ring is rotated, the more
rapidly focus will be adjusted). To
magnify the view in the monitor for
precise focus, press the
X button.
While the view through the lens is
zoomed in, the multi selector can be
used to scroll to areas of the frame
not visible in the monitor.
The distance indicator on the right
side of the display shows the
approximate focus distance (the
actual focus distance varies with
aperture) in meters or feet; the units
used can be selected using the MF
distance indicator units option in
the setup menu (
0 192).
