Troubleshooting smart card enrollment

There are a number of causes for when a smart card Enrollment fails. The most common errors and their possible

cause are described.

Token is blank / uninitialized

3.2.1

When the token is blank and is not initialized, the following error displays:

Check the status of the token with the Token Management Utility / Token Administration Utility. If the

token is not initialized, you should initialize the token, setting a token label, PIN and PUK.
