Removing/Reinstalling the Battery Pack
To remove the battery pack
You will lose all unsaved data if you remove the battery pack while your VAIO computer is on or in Sleep
mode and not connected to the AC adapter.
Be sure to turn off the computer before removing the battery pack.
1 Turn off your VAIO computer, disconnect the power cord and all connection cables, and
close the LCD screen lid.
2 Turn your VAIO computer over and remove the bottom cover.
Unscrew the two screws (1) with a cross slot screwdriver, then slide the cover in the
direction of the arrow (2).

 Use a screwdriver (such as a precision screwdriver) that matches the size of the screws.
 Do not remove or loosen the screws that are not specified to be removed, as it may cause your VAIO
computer to malfunction.
 Be careful not to drop the removed screws through the openings in and around the battery
compartment into your VAIO computer.
 Be careful not to touch the wires and the projections in and around the battery compartment.
