3 Remove the battery pack.
Pull the tab on the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow (1), and while
holding the tab, lift the battery pack in the direction of the arrow (2).

Slide the battery pack away from the compartment in the direction of the arrow (3).

To reinstall the battery pack
Install the battery pack into the battery compartment on the bottom of your VAIO computer.
Be sure to install the battery pack before using the computer.
Do not use the computer without installing the battery pack, as it may cause the
computer to malfunction.
1 Slide the battery pack into the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow.
2 Push the battery pack down into the battery compartment.
The battery pack clicks into place in the compartment.
3 Replace the bottom cover.
Push the cover in the direction of the arrow (1) so that all the tabs on the cover fit in place,
then replace and tighten the two screws (2).
