You cannot turn on your CLIÉ Handheld
• Is the HOLD switch of your CLIÉ handheld on?
Your CLIÉ handheld will not operate when the HOLD switch is on. Make
sure that the HOLD switch is off.
• Has your battery run out?
Connect your CLIÉ handheld to the adapter with the cradle and turn on your
CLIÉ handheld after some minutes. When your CLIÉ handheld turns on,
charge it for about four hours and then perform a soft reset.
No reaction to operations
Is the HOLD switch of your CLIÉ handheld on?
Your CLIÉ handheld will not operate when the HOLD switch is on. Make sure
that the HOLD switch is off.
You cannot perform a HotSync
®
operation
Verify the following:
• Are the CLIÉ handheld and cradle correctly connected?
• Is the Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ software installed in your computer?
• Is your computer’s OS compliant?
The OS must be compliant with Windows 98 Second Edition/Me/2000
