Experience the beauty of HD (high
definition) images

B

Your camcorder offers both AVCHD and DVD recording formats.

The recording format depends on the image quality, HD (high definition) or SD (standard
definition). Select the image quality when you use a new disc on your camcorder (p. 37).

b

Notes

• You cannot change the image quality of a disc midway.
• The images recorded with SD (standard definition) image quality cannot be converted to HD (high

definition) image quality.

• Your camcorder is compatible with the “1440 × 1080/60i” standard of AVCHD format (p. 131).

“AVCHD 1080i format” is abbreviated as “AVCHD” in this manual, except when it must be described in
more detail.
