• The disc may not be played back, or the movies
may not be played smoothly on some
computers.
• You cannot play back or edit movies that have
been copied from the disc to the hard disk of
your computer directly. For details on how to
import movies, refer to the “First Step Guide”
on the supplied CD-ROM.
The volume label of the disc recorded
with SD (standard definition) image
quality
The date when the disc was first used is
recorded.

When the disc was first used at 6:00 pm on
January 1st 2006:
2006_01_01_06H00M_PM

• Images in discs recorded with SD (standard
definition) image quality are stored in the
following folders:
– DVD-RW (VR mode)
DVD_RTAV folder
– Other discs and modes
VIDEO_TS folder

Finding the right disc
- DISC SELECT GUIDE
Select the option that is right for you on the
screen, then you will be informed of the
appropriate disc for your purposes.

Turn on your camcorder, and
press (HOME).

Touch (MANAGE DISC/
MEMORY).

Touch [DISC SELECT GUIDE].

Touch the option that is right for
you on the screen.
When you answer all the questions, you
will be informed of the right disc for
you.
When you insert the same type of disc
as that indicated in the results of the
guide, the disc is formatted with the
options you selected.

supplied “Read This First,” as well.
