Mode dial

Before using your camera, set the

desired

mark on the mode dial to .

(Auto adjustment mode)

The focus, exposure and white balance are
automatically adjusted to allow easy
shooting. The image quality is set to [Fine]
(page 47).

P (Program auto shooting)

Shooting adjustment is automatically
carried out just as in the auto adjustment
mode. However, you can intentionally
adjust the focus, etc. In addition, you can set
the desired functions using the menu (pages
46 and 114).

M (Manual exposure shooting)

You can manually adjust the shutter speed
and the aperture value (page 52). In
addition, you can set the desired shooting
functions using menus (pages 46 and 114).

SCN (Scene Selection)

You can easily shoot an effective photo
based on the scene conditions in the scene
(page 34). In addition, you can set the
desired shooting functions using menus
(pages 46 and 114).

SET UP (Set up)

You can change the settings of the camera
(pages 17 and 47).

(Movie shooting)

You can shoot movies (page 80).

(Playback/editing)

You can play back or edit still images or
movies (pages 38, 63, 69 and 81).
