You can record images to the hard disk of the camcorder. Hard Disk Drive Handycam offers
more options than the tape or the DVD camcorder for your convenience and entertainment.

Recording onto the hard disk for long hours

You can record more than seven hours* when the
image is set to high quality ([HQ]) onto the hard
disk. All the recorded images are saved on the free
hard disk space. You are not at a risk to write images
onto your favorite images by mistake.
Also, you do not need to rewind or fast-forward your
movie, and you can start recording whenever you
are ready.

You can record more than 14 hours when you use DCR-
SR80. If you change the image quality of a movie, you
can record images for longer hours.
You can find a scene quickly by using the
VISUAL INDEX screen (p.30, 33).
The VISUAL INDEX screen allows you to check
recorded images at a glance. All you have to do is
to touch the scene you want to view.
Also, you can search for a desired scene by date
using Date Index.
Viewing on a TV or saving to VCR/DVD
devices (p.42, 70)
You can connect your Handycam directly to a TV
to play back recorded images. Also, you can save
them to VCR/DVD devices.
