[ To remove the built-in battery
On disposal of the camera, take the following
steps to remove the built-in battery
1 Make sure your camera has been
disconnected from the power source.

Open the “Memory Stick Duo” cover
(page 8) and loosen off the two screws
using a cross-head screwdriver.
3 Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver, etc., into
the groove [A] and lift the cover up in the
direction of the arrow until the cover does
not lower back down.
4 Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver, etc., into
the “Memory Stick Duo” slot and lift the
cover up in the direction of the arrow.
• Shift the cover while lifting it up to avoid
the tab.
5 Take the cover off and remove the battery
with the bottom surface of the camera
facing down.
