Upgrading Your VAIO Computer
Replacing the Hard Disk Drive
Your computer is equipped with two 3.5-inch hard disk drives and supports the Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID)
technology. The two preinstalled hard disk drives are configured in the RAID 0 array and you need additional information on
the RAID configuration when replacing hard disk drives. See the on-screen RAID Guide.
To access this on-screen guide:
1 Click Start and Help and Support.
2 Click Use my VAIO.
3 Click Other Documents.
Review the manufacturer's information provided with your new hard disk drive before attempting to install it in the computer.
